On the anniversary of the club's founding in 1899 and seven years on from the 5-0 win over Real Madrid, the Blaugrana are in rude health once again
November 29 is a special date for FC Barcelona. The Catalan club were celebrating their 118th birthday on Wednesday and it was also exactly seven years since their famous 5-0 win over Real Madrid at Camp Nou. What better way to mark it, then, than with another 'Manita'!
Barca beat Segunda B side Murcia 3-0 away in the first leg and this second match looked like a formality. However, the Blaugrana will have taken nothing for granted after seeing Madrid toil to a 2-2 draw at home to Fuenlabrada on Tuesday. They knew this needed to be a professional performance.
